TIRANA, September 9, 2011 -- The World Bank Country Director and Regional Coordinator for South East Europe Jane Armitage is visiting Albania from September 8 to 14. The main purpose of the visit will be to assess progress of the World Bank program in the country as well as to participate in “Towards a better governance in Albania” conference to be held on September 13.
During her visit, Ms. Jane Armitage will meet with Prime Minister Sali Berisha, members of the Cabinet, leader of the opposition Edi Rama, and the EU representative. She will also visit a number of World Bank supported projects.
The World Bank Country Director will have a press conference on Tuesday, September 13, at 12:00 in the Tirana International Hotel.
