Mrs Marilou Uy, World Bank Senior Advisor to the President's Special Envoy on the MDGs and Financial Development addressed an audience of about 80 parliamentarians from 35 countries at the International Parliamentary Conference on the Post-2015 Development Agenda , organised by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association's UK branch. The conference focused especially on governance, transparency and accountability and the role of Parliamentarians in the post-2015 development debate. Marilou Uy in her presentation focused on the Financing for development post 2015; the role of the private sector; of innovative financing instruments; and the role parliamentarians can play in forging a new partnership for resource mobilisation. During discussions on the use of open data to help Parliamentarians and CSOs track results and adjust policy recommendations, the World Bank Group was commended for itsfocus on results, strengthening accountability and promoting openness in development through itsOpen Data and Mapping of Results initiatives.
