The International Finance Corporation (“IFC”) has been mandated by Unitel S.A. (“Unitel” or “Company”)) to act as lead transaction advisor in its partial re-privatization through the sale of the shares held by one or more of Unitel’s shareholders on the Angola Securities and Debt Stock Exchange (“BODIVA”) and/or by any other suitable mechanism in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of Angola (the “Project”).IFC seeks to hire a legal consultancy firm (“Firm”) to support IFC with Public Law matters; such as: (i) review of ownership /nationalization process; (ii) review of the current laws and regulations pertaining to public entities in general and the telecommunications sector in particular; and (iii) review from a public law point of view; the legal framework that may be applicable for the transaction.The Firm will be expected to be a local legal firm that has experience in matters of Angolan Law.
