Diane Steele

Household Survey Coordinator, Development Research Group

Diane Steele is the Household Survey Coordinator in the Development Research Group. She is the administrator of the Living Standards Measurement Study (LSMS) Database. She is responsible for creating, updating and maintaining the LSMS Web site which provides information on existing LSMS surveys, tools for how to implement surveys, and tools for analyzing surveys. Ms. Steele provides technical assistance to the staff in national statistical institutes on how to implement and analyze nationally representative multi-topic household surveys.
  • Living Standards Measurement Study

    The Living Standards Measurement Study (LSMS) and the Living Standards Measurement Study-Integrated Surveys on Agriculture (LSMS-ISA) were established by the Development Research Group to explore ways of improving the type and quality of household data collected by statistical offices in developing countries.
