IFC seeks to recruit a survey firm (Firm) to survey smallholder farmers within four pre-identified value chains. The survey objective is to collect information required to identify key risks; current coping mechanisms; insurance appetite; and potential insurance solutions for smallholder farmers.The pre-identified priority crops from which farmer samples will be drawn are: maize; rice; beans; and soya. The priority crops have been identified based on the number of smallholder farmers involved and their importance for food security; among other factors.
