The World Bank Group (WBG) publishes materials (books, serials, and working papers) that are made available through various distribution channels to academia, business, government, the media, World Bank staff, interested individuals, and a host of organizations. The yearly publication of approximately 200 World Bank titles, in print and online, is managed by the World Bank Publishing Program (Publishing Program), which coordinates acquisition, editorial production, marketing, and distribution from World Bank headquarters in Washington, D.C. The electronic distribution is managed by the Digital Publishing team (DP team) within the Publishing Program. The distribution to Print on Demand (POD) partners is overseen by the Print and Conversion team (PC team) within the editorial production unit.

Due to the different specifications/requirements across the landscape of electronic distribution channels for published content of the World Bank, including our own World Bank eLibrary, Amazon, Google, IG Publishing, NetLibrary and ProQuest, and others, the DP team requires vendor services to supplement and assist in this activity area.

The overall purpose of this RFI is to conduct market research for digital asset distribution services/platform, hosting, and maintenance to be utilized by WBG.
