Sahel Adaptive Social Protection Program

Adaptive social protection (ASP) in the Sahel is a cost-effective investment in the current and future resilience of poor and vulnerable people. ASP seeks to enhance the inclusive systems and high‑impact programs that expand opportunities and provide the sustained support needed for people to build resilience over time. In addition to country-specific pages, our focus areas cover two operational questions for better delivery, and three impact areas to ensure SASPP maximizes the results of programmatic ASP interventions. Climate adaptations and women's empowerment are cross-cutting priorities shaping how ASP is designed, delivered, and scaled in the Sahel.
