Feature Team Members

Sarah Kouhlani Nolla leads the Business Entry topic under the World Bank’s Business Ready unit as well as the cross-cutting topic on gender and the engagement with stakeholders. Her work focuses on improving the legal framework and public services to encourage business formalization. Sarah joined the team in January 2019 and previously worked with the World Bank’s Fragility, Conflict, and Violence Global Theme, the United Nations Development Programme, and the European Commission. She holds a Master’s in International Relations and Development Economics from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a Master’s in Law from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. She speaks French, Spanish, Arabic and is conversant in Portuguese.
