Jayashree Srinivasan is a Regulatory Specialist and Topic Lead for Business Location in the Business Ready Project, where she designs and implements indicators on the built environment and land administration, including property transfer and environmental permitting. She joined DECIG – Policy Indicators Group in 2008. Previously, Jayashree led the Dealing with Construction Permits and Getting Electricity indicator areas under the Doing Business project. She is also the Team Lead for Building Green, a global dataset on building energy efficiency regulations and their enforcement. Jayashree has extensive experience in business climate measurement and advising government and policy makers on improving business climate and enabling environment through regulatory reforms. Prior to joining DECIG, she worked in the World Bank South Asia Region Urban and Water team. Jayashree holds a master’s degree in economics from University of Delhi and speaks Hindi and Tamil.
