Feature Team Members

Israel Fierro is an Analyst and the Acting Lead for the Labor topic in the Business Ready Unit. He joined the team in May 2021. Before joining the World Bank, Mr. Fierro worked as an Economist at Chile’s Ministry of Finance, where he supported the country’s representation in international organizations and participated in the negotiation of bilateral and multilateral trade agreements across Latin America and East Asia. During his tenure in the public sector, he also served as an Advisor to the Latin American constituency at the United Nations Green Climate Fund and as a senior official to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC). Mr. Fierro holds a master’s degree in International Finance and Economic Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
