Ganesh Gopalakrishnan is an Analyst with the Business Insolvency team of the Business Ready Unit, which he joined in September 2024. Before joining the World Bank, Ganesh worked at leading law firms in India and advised financial institutions on legal and policy issues. Ganesh was also previously a Research Fellow in the Department of Economic Affairs (Ministry of Finance, Government of India)-National Institute of Public Finance and Policy Research Programme. During this time, he assisted the Government of India on legal, policy, and regulatory issues in relation to financial services. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree from Harvard Law School, is admitted to practice law in India, and certified for admission to the New York Bar. He speaks English, Tamil, and Hindi.
