Dorsey Kaufmann
Dorsey Kaufmann is a Data Visualization Designer in the Business Ready Unit. She joined the team in June 2024. In her role, she designed the data visualizations and interactive features of the B-ready Data pages and created the infographic visuals in the larger B-ready site. Previously, she worked as a web designer with DECID and she will now start working on the World Bank’s Poverty and Inequality Platform as a UX designer. With a background in science and health communication, she specializes in creating interactive, user-centered data visualization interfaces to inform public decision-making. Her work has won numerous awards, including the 2023 Information is Beautiful Gold Award. She has also published in many peer-reviewed international journals like Nature, where she is lead author of the publication “Communicating environmental data through art: the role of emotion and memory in evoking environmental action.” She holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Arizona and currently lectures at the University of Edinburgh’s Institute of Design Informatics in Scotland.
