REGISTRATION

Due to the evolving situation of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and growing health concerns, the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund (IMF) have agreed that the 2020 Spring Meetings will transition to a virtual format. Our overriding priority is to ensure the health and safety of Spring Meetings participants and staff.  

As a result, Spring Meetings registration for all categories has been suspended. Any registrations that have been previously confirmed are no longer valid and on-site registration will not be available. Please contact meetingsregistration@worldbank.org for any questions related to registration. 

We remain fully committed to engaging with key stakeholders on today’s pressing global economic challenges. The International Monetary and Finance Committee and Development Committee plenary sessions will be held virtually.

Delegate

Delegates are governmental officials of the member countries of the World Bank/IMF, who register through their respective Executive Director's office for the Meetings.

Observer

Observers are the representatives of international, regional, and economic organizations that were pre-approved and invited by the World Bank Group and IMF.  Please see the list of 2019 Annual Meetings Observer Organizations. Guest

Guests fall within the following categories: 

  • Private Sector: Representatives from financial institutions and banks, commercial enterprises, consulting, and contractor firms.

  • Parliamentarians and senators.

  • Academia: University professors, researchers, faculty members, and students who have research and educational interest in the operations and affairs of the World Bank/IMF. Documentation should be submitted with the application (an endorsement letter from the Head of Department or Vice Chancellor of the University) confirming status in the University and stating academic interest.

CSO

CSOs include non-governmental organizations, community groups, labor unions, indigenous people’s movements, faith-based organizations, professional associations, foundations, think tanks, charitable organizations, and other not-for-profit organizations. All other participants - such as representatives from the private sector, academia or governmental bodies - must apply for accreditation as a Guest or other relevant registration category.

Press

Journalists will be able to access press conferences via the IMF’s Online Media Briefing Center and the World Bank’s Online Media Briefing Center. Registration Desks

As the 2020 Spring Meetings have been transitioned to a virtual platform, there will be no on-site registration desks.
