The 2021 Spring Meetings will be held virtually. All attendees to the Spring Meetings must be accredited. Registration is now open for all categories. To allow sufficient time for processing registration applications prior to the Meetings, registration for Guests and CSOs will close on March 22, 2021.

Delegates are governmental officials of the member countries of the World Bank/IMF, who register through their respective Executive Director's office for the Meetings.

Observers are the representatives of international, regional, and economic organizations that were pre-approved and invited by the World Bank Group and IMF.  Please see the list of 2020 Annual Meetings Observer Organizations. Guest registration is now open. Register online: Guest Registration Form.

Guests fall within the following categories: 

  • Private Sector: Representatives from financial institutions and banks, commercial enterprises, consulting, and contractor firms.

  • Parliamentarians and senators.

  • Academia: University professors, researchers, faculty members, and students who have research and educational interest in the operations and affairs of the World Bank/IMF. Documentation should be submitted with the application (an endorsement letter from the Head of Department or Vice Chancellor of the University) confirming status in the University and stating academic interest. 

World Bank Group or IMF Guest? 

Applicants should register as either a Bank Guest or a Fund Guest, based on their focus during the Spring Meetings. The choice of the Bank or the Fund will not preclude access to events at the other institution. Submitting Guest registration requests to both institutions will substantially delay the processing of your application. For information about the IMF Guest registration process, click here.

CSO registration is now open. Register online: CSO Registration Form.

As in previous years, the World Bank Group and IMF will host the Civial Society Policy Forum (CSPF) as part of the 2021 Spring Meetings. The CSPF is an opportunity for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to share their views and perspectives in facilitated dialogues with Bank and Fund staff, other CSOs, and stakeholders. The CSPF will be held from March 22 to April 11, 2021.

All CSO representatives must recieve accreditation to participate in the CSPF and any other Spring Meetings events. Accreditation is not transferrable. CSOs include non-governmental organizations, community groups, labor unions, indigenous people’s movements, faith-based organizations, professional associations, foundations, think tanks, charitable organizations, and other not-for-profit organizations. All other participants - such as representatives from the private sector, academia or governmental bodies - must apply for accreditation as a Guest or other relevant registration category.
