The South Asia Gender Innovation Lab (SARGL) Women’s Economic Empowerment in South Asia (WEESA) webinar series, in collaboration with the Africa Gender Innovation Lab (AFRGIL) and the East Asia and Pacific Gender Innovation Lab (EAPGIL), explored agency, decision-making, and the impacts of group-based models in low and middle-income countries. Drawing on new data from rural Philippines and analysis of how group interventions improve outcomes, the session highlighted causal pathways, key results, and implications for future research and program design.
