Mali RESILAND, part of the Sahel RESILAND Umbrella Program, was featured as a key example during a joint World Bank and IFC adaptation webinar held during UNGA week, highlighting the Sahel’s leadership in advancing climate resilience. The event showcased successful policy and finance solutions from Kenya, Mali, and Brazil, and introduced new Country Adaptation and Resilience Readiness Assessment data and case studies from the flagship report Rising to the Challenge: Success Stories and Strategies for Achieving Climate Adaptation and Resilience.

The World Bank launched its new report, Accelerating Access to Clean Air for a Livable Planet, highlighting cost-effective solutions to reduce outdoor air pollution. The event explored impacts on health and development—especially in low- and middle-income countries—and outlined policy actions to deliver cleaner air and better lives.
