Korea Innovation 2020: Smart City Financing and PPP

image

"How can we bring specific tools of private-public partnerships and financing to solve big challenges related to urban cities?"

KIND is a young government institution set up in 2018 under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport  (MOLIT) in S. Korea. An easy way to understand KIND is to think of it as 'bilateral IFC focussing on greenfield projects' that promotes private investment by co-investment. IFC, a member of the World Bank Group—is the largest global development institution focused on the private sector in developing countries.

Complete the Bite+ to learn about KIND's various Project Targets, Project Cases, Financing Tools, and  Pitfalls to Avoid while developing and executing projects. Also, learn about how we could bring private financing and private sector innovation into urban city projects. Outlined are two examples from an IFC context.
