About this Course This course focuses on using disaster risk analytics to forecast the financial impacts of future disasters and to design cost-effective disaster risk financing strategies. It introduces a structured, practical approach to understanding and using risk information to support sound financial and economic planning. What you’ll Learn You will learn how to apply the five-step disaster risk analytics workflow, assess the fiscal impacts of disasters, and understand how disaster risk finance (DRF) analytics can support decision-making and financial planning. The course also helps you build confidence in interpreting risk data, questioning quantitative results, and evaluating financing options. How the Course Works The course is self-paced and delivered through short modules that combine practical examples and hands-on exercises. Learners can progress at their own pace and receive a certificate of completion upon successfully passing the assessments.
