Este curso en línea proporciona un panorama general del FMAM, un organismo internacional único que se dedica a proteger el medio ambiente mundial. Fue elaborado en forma conjunta por el Equipo de Conocimientos y Aprendizaje de la Secretaría del FMAM y el Campus de Aprendizaje Abierto (OLC) del Grupo Banco Mundial, y está coordinado por el OLC. Una vez terminado el curso, los participantes conocerán la misión, la historia y la estructura institucional del FMAM. Entenderán los principios rectores y las áreas de trabajo en el séptimo período de reposición de los recursos del FMAM (FMAM-7). También conocerán las principales cuestiones transversales; información básica sobre el financiamiento del FMAM y sus políticas operacionales, así como el marco de resultados para el FMAM-7. El curso está dividido en cinco secciones temáticas. Cada sección contendrá un breve cuestionario sobre el tema aprendido y tendrá una duración de aproximadamente 90 minutos si se realiza de principio a fin; cada participante, sin embargo, puede completarla a su propio ritmo.
