Public Finance Review: Restructuring Spending for Stability and Growth report analyzes the key issues that are standing in the way of strengthening macroeconomic stability and of laying the foundations for a robust economic recovery.
Launched today with the Croatian Ministry of Finance, the Public Finance Review recommends that reducing the fiscal deficit and reversing the rising public debt through a restructuring of public spending, and creating the fiscal space for the absorption of large European Union (EU) funds would lay the ground for sustainable long-term growth.
The event gathered key policy makers from various ministries and government agencies, the international community, parliamentarians, economists, think-tanks, academia and NGOs.
