ICHA 2023: Collective Action in an Era of Crises
Forum Dates: June 14-16, 2023
Location: Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire
The World Bank Group is pleased to announce the next gathering of the World Bank Group’s International Corruption Hunters Alliance (ICHA) Forum, scheduled to take place on June 14-16, 2023, under the auspices of Government of Côte d’Ivoire. The ICHA is a global gathering of front-line anticorruption practitioners in government, investigatory and prosecutorial and preventive agencies, the private sector, and civil society, with the aim of engaging in conversation, sharing knowledge and experience on challenges, risks, as well as opportunities for advancing anticorruption efforts, at all levels.
The 2023 ICHA Forum is co-organized by the World Bank Group’s Integrity Vice Presidency and its Western and Central Africa Vice Presidency and will be hosted in Abidjan with partnership from the Government of Côte d’Ivoire. After being consistently hosted in Europe or North America since its inception in 2010, this year’s ICHA will mark the first time that the international event is hosted by an African country.
**Further information about the ICHA 2023 program and registration details will be posted here soon.**
The ICHA Forum connects participants from more than 100 countries to engage in dialogue on rapidly evolving anticorruption developments, such as illicit financial flows, beneficial ownership, and financial and tax transparency to managing risks in critical economic sectors. The Forum strives to bridge the gap between dialogue and action, and to showcase knowledge from all corners of the world to strengthen collective efforts against corruption. The event is also an opportunity to help strengthen collaboration among the global anticorruption community and to forge new ties among global and regional actors, with a particular emphasis this year on countries across west and central Africa.
Background on the ICHA
The World Bank Group’s ICHA has traditionally been held biannually since 2010. Following the last ICHA gathering in 2018 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and due to pandemic-related postponements, the 2023 edition resumes the effort to bring together anticorruption professional for technical discussions and workshops, policy dialogue, skills building, and networking.
ICHA gatherings are truly globally affairs: participants come from all regions of the world and represent national government agencies, anticorruption authorities, investigatory and prosecutorial agencies, regional and international organizations, as well as civil society and academia.
