Cities worldwide are accelerating their efforts toward a decarbonized future, and improving the energy performance of buildings—particularly in urban environments—is a critical part of that transition. The 52nd Y-PORT Workshop, hosted by the City of Yokohama and the Yokohama Urban Solutions Alliance (YUSA), will spotlight global trends, challenges, and opportunities in advancing green buildings.
Representatives from the World Bank’s Urban, Resilience & Land Global Department have been invited to share insights in a two-part presentation:
Ko Takeuchi, Senior Urban Development Specialist based in Washington, D.C., will present an overview of global developments in green building practices and highlight key World Bank initiatives.
Shoko Tawara from TDLC will provide a short introduction to the program and its work in knowledge exchange and operational support.
The program will also feature insights from the Japan Sustainable Energy & Environment Business Promotion Association (JASE-W), including perspectives on promoting Net Zero Energy Buildings (ZEB) in Southeast Asia and opportunities for Japanese companies to engage in related projects.
