The Latin America and the Caribbean Digital Development Unit is the World Bank’s focal point for digital engagements in the region. Positioned at the intersection of the LAC Vice Presidency and the new Digital Vice Presidency, the unit works to advance digital inclusion, innovation, and resilience across the region.
The team brings together specialists and consultants based in Brasilia, Kingston, Lima, and Washington, D.C.
The digital development specialists of the unit act as subregional focal points and thus serve as the main interface with client governments to facilitate collaboration, coordinate digital initiatives, and tailor World Bank solutions to local contexts—strengthening partnerships with governments, the private sector, and regional organizations.
