About

Impact Analytics builds tools and delivers services to strengthen the transparency, credibility, and reproducibility of impact evaluation research across the World Bank and the global development community.

Working across the Developmet Impact Group’s global portfolio, the team promotes high-quality research practices through practical tools, technical support, and training, supporting the full lifecycle of research, from study design to publication.

All Analytics resources are open-source, open-access public goods available to the broader research community. In partnership with the World Bank Group Institute for Economic Development, the team also delivers e-learning courses that extend these tools and methods to a global audience.

What We Do

Impact Analytics brings tools and concepts from data science and computer science into development research.

  • Standardize and automate data workflows
We replace one-off, project-specific workflows with shared systems that standardize and automate common data tasks across statistical software.
  • Make research more efficient and reliable
Our approach reduces duplication, minimizes errors, and enables collaboration across teams so researchers spend less time on repetitive data work and more on substantive questions.
  • Enable collaboration and better research
By simplifying processes, we make it easier for teams to build on each other’s work, improving consistency and overall research quality.
  • Support scale across portfolio
Our systems have enabled the efficient scale-up of the Development Impact Group’s research portfolio, supporting the full research production cycle, from data to dissemination.
