The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is the private sector arm of the World Bank. IFC has partnered with a payment service provider in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to improve financial inclusion in the market. The project has various components that aim to promote the use of digital wallets for payments and acceptance channels called merchants (mainly operated by micro; small and medium enterprises - SMEs). This assignment aims to expand the number of payments acceptance points and volume of payments in the market as well as acquisition of new digital wallet users who will help generate the ecosystem of digital payments in the region of focus. To achieve this; IFC is looking to engage the services of a specialized Merchant and Customer Acquisition firm to expand the merchant and user network. This will be achieved it through the client’s existing field management structures and teams in Kinshasa Province. The assignment may be expanded to other parts of the country subject to the client’s needs.
