The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is seeking to hire a consulting firm or a consortium (“Consultant”) to support the design and implementation of a strategic Investment Mapping connected to the Lobito Corridor in Zambia. The focus will be on the provinces where the Lobito Corridor passes; including the Copperbelt and Northwestern; as well as the Central Province which has close proximity to the Corridor. The Consultant will be responsible for mapping existing/planned and identifying current and potential private sector investment opportunities; existing and potential anchor investors; and key local SMEs connected to these value chains.The objective of this assignment is to conduct a comprehensive mapping of existing and potential private sector-led investment activities and opportunities in Zambia along the Lobito Corridor; focusing on private sector actors (anchor investors and SMEs); potential Private Sector Participation (PSP) models (including PPPs).The mapping exercise will be conducted through desk review; site visits and stakeholder consultations across the main provinces through which the Corridor runs; namely: Copperbelt; North-Western; as well as those provinces with close proximity; e.g.; the Central Province.
