The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is seeking to hire a consulting firm or a consortium (“Consultant”) to support the design and implementation of a strategic Investment Mapping along the Lobito Corridor. The Consultant will be responsible for mapping existing/planned and identifying current and potential private sector investment opportunities across Angola; the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC); and Zambia within the Corridor.The objective of this assignment is to conduct a comprehensive mapping of existing and potential private sector-led investment activities and opportunities along the Lobito Corridor; focusing on private sector actors (anchor investors and SMEs); potential Private Sector Participation (PSP) models (including PPPs); and development partner initiatives. This will inform IFC’s broader corridor engagement strategy; private capital mobilization; and advisory interventions across Angola; DRC; and Zambia.The scope of work under these terms of reference will focus on Angola; conducted through desk review; site visits and stakeholder consultations across the four main provinces through which the Corridor runs; namely: Benguela; Bie; Huambo and Moxico; as detailed in the TOR.
