The consultancy aims to undertake an assessment of the Private Health Sector in the Kyrgyz Republic to: (a) map and characterize the private health sector and its services; (b) analyze the sector’s contribution to health service delivery; financing; and health outcomes; (c) assess the policy; regulatory; and institutional environment affecting the private health sector; (d) identify key challenges; barriers; and opportunities for private sector engagement and growth; and (e) provide actionable recommendations for strengthening the sector’s role in achieving national health goals. The assessment is expected to cover private health providers (hospitals; clinics; pharmacies; laboratories; etc.); insurance providers; pharmaceutical manufacturers and medical education institutions.
