The assignment aims to develop and operationalize a digital solution that enhances the restoration and revegetation of degraded lands in Indonesia; particularly post-mining sites and underproductive plantations. By integrating drone-based mapping; mobile data collection; and GIS platforms; the project seeks to improve spatial accuracy; streamline monitoring and reporting; and support regulatory compliance. The initiative will demonstrate how digital tools can reduce restoration costs; improve implementation efficiency; and enable scalable; data-driven models that can be replicated across similar landscapes; ultimately contributing to national reforestation; climate; and food security goals. The scope of work for this assignment involves designing and deploying a digital monitoring system to support restoration and revegetation of degraded lands in Indonesia; specifically targeting post-mining sites and underproductive plantations. It includes selecting demonstration sites; conducting drone and GIS-based baseline assessments; and developing a cloud-based platform integrated with mobile applications for field data collection. The system will feature analytical dashboards; automated reporting tools; and restoration packages tailored to site conditions. The assignment also covers pilot implementation; full-scale deployment; user training; quarterly monitoring; and the delivery of operational manuals and cost estimates to enable replication and scaling across similar landscapes.
