IFC seeks to support the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and other relevant government departments such as the Bureau of Philippine Standards (BPS) of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI); Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and others; as well as representatives of relevant private sector entities in the Philippines; to develop an evidence-based and practical roadmap to introduce recycled content standards for plastic packaging in the Philippines.The expected outcomes of this project are:*Identification of plastic resins and product typologies to prioritize in the development of recycled content standards*Development of recycled content standards for priority resin and typology combinations identified*Development of a comprehensive and evidence-based roadmap to introduce the recycled content standards in the Philippines; with the endorsement and support of key stakeholders*Capacity building of the benefits and challenges of implementing recycled content standards amongst the government; the private sector; and civil society*Endorsement of a final proposal and roadmap by the Government of the Philippines and their support for the implementation of recycled content standards by industry; including on a voluntary basis.IFC now seeks Expressions of Interest from qualified consultants in delivering the above project.
