The objective of this assignment is to provide an overview and assessment of existing carbon crediting standards for technology-based CDR; with focus on methodologies; but also including procedural and governance aspects where specific to technology-based CDR. The consultant will provide a stock-take; identify gaps; and elaborate on what it would take to close these gaps. This work is meant to inform potential future initiatives to support technology-based CDR in developing countries in assessing the existing and required technical foundation for applying carbon crediting to such technologies.
