The Project for Access to Basic Services in Rural Areas (PASBMIR) aims to improve electricity and water access in peri-urban and rural areas across Ngounié, Estuaire, Woleu-Ntem, and Haut-Ogooué. By July 2023, over 12,784 households were connected, 160 km of high-voltage and 140 km of low-voltage lines installed, 27 community water points built or rehabilitated, and sanitation improved in schools and health centers. Communication and awareness campaigns reached more than 140 villages.
The Statistics Development Project (PDS) strengthens Gabon’s statistical capacity, fills key data gaps, and improves dissemination. Data collection for the first General Census of Enterprises began in 2022. Additional surveys targeting disadvantaged populations are under preparation.
The e-Gabon Project improves health service delivery and ICT adoption. It deploys a National Health Information System, increases electronic medical records and e-prescriptions, and supports digital and eHealth startups, focusing on women and youth. Achievements include a national digital incubator (2022) and e-health platform deployment in 13 facilities (2025).
The Digital Gabon Project focuses on digital government services and legal digital identities. Objectives include improving efficiency, inclusion, and accountability, and fostering digital economy growth.
The Urban Development Project (PDUG) supports urban livability and climate resilience in seven secondary cities. Activities include climate-resilient infrastructure, flood risk reduction, service improvements in underserved neighborhoods, and municipal capacity building.
The Access to Basic Services and Performance Improvement Project (PASBAP) is under preparation, and aims to improve water and electricity performance, expand access to safe water, sanitation, and electricity, and establish Gabon’s first fecal sludge treatment plant, supporting universal access by 2030.
