The workshop discussed the social and economic underpinnings of the World Bank's Gender and Development strategy. The purpose of the web site is to disseminate the proceedings from the Workshop to the Bank's Resident Missions and its Partners, continue the dialogue on Gender and Development issues, and to facilitate the collection of databases, case studies, examples, and questions and share with practitioners worldwide.
