World Development Indicators 2009

The World Development Indicators is the World Bank's premier annual compilation of data about development. The 2009 WDI includes more than 800 indicators in over 90 tables organized in 6 sections: World View, People, Environment, Economy, States and Markets, and Global Links.

WDI online database available for subscribers. Selected indicators can also be accessed for free with the quick query.

I think things look great and I am realy enjoying getting the newly data from a compact database. Congratulation for this. However I do not find the latest data on health human resources ( personnel ) and also from the production ( graduate output from the health schools). Any suggestions? I will go to WHO web site but I don;t have much hope of getting new data despite the fact that they are collecting this data every year. Hortenzia

Hello, I was gald to find some real facts on this topic at last. I've been searching the web for some information about World Development Indicators, but neither of the sources (I tried some shared info sources like Google) was giving enough details about 2009 WDI. Besides, I have some questions about the organization structure. Maybe someone could clear it up for me, why are they organized into these 6 sections? Why there is no section for Education? Healthcare? I would be very thankful. Best regards!
