The World Bank marks IDAHOTB 2022

On May 17, the World Bank Group and our partners commemorated the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOTB), honoring the progress LGBTI people across the globe have made in their pursuit of equality. This year’s theme was “Our bodies, our lives, our rights.”

Throughout the week of IDAHOTB, teams from across the Bank Group hosted a variety of events to commemorate IDAHOTB, including a flagship event on World Bank Live: Inclusive Laws and Policies: IDAHOTB 2022This event convened a panel of government, civil society, and other partners for a discussion on the importance of inclusive laws in advancing the rights of sexual and gender minorities globally. It also included a discussion of the lessons learned and way forward for the Equality of Opportunity for Sexual and Gender Minorities (EQOSOGI) report.
