BRIEF July 31, 2026

Announcing the Urban Frontiers Forum 2027

Urban Frontier 2027 UF-27

World Bank Group Tokyo Development Learning Center (TDLC) will host the inaugural Urban Frontiers Forum 2027 (UF-27) in Tokyo, Japan, from June 7–11, 2027. UF-27 will bring together ministers, mayors, global investors, and industry leaders from around the world to shape livable cities that support more and better jobs. The Forum connects leaders, knowledge, and financing to turn the world’s best urban ideas into action.

UF-27 will focus on what works. Rather than introducing new commitments or abstract policy ideas, the Forum seeks to accelerate the scale-up of proven practices already tested in different contexts, using public, private, or blended financing.
