The Improving the Availability and Quality of Individual-Level Data on Women and Youth in Living Standards Measurement Study (LSMS) Surveys workshop brought together experts and institutions active in different domains of relevance to the women and youth employment policy and research agendas, to discuss priority areas identified by the project team and how the project can approach them for maximum impact.

The workshop agenda was organized around thematic sessions, such as key employment definitions and indicators to understand basic constructs, labor demand, and labor supply, skills and time use. In each of the thematic sessions the discussion was organized around the why, what and how of the measurement agenda for each theme. The objective of the workshop was to inform the priorities and work program of the project, by discussing priority areas for the improvement in the data on rural women and youth employment collected via household and other surveys (e.g. enterprise or labor force surveys).
