The remains of the dried-out Aral Sea are being transformed through massive afforestation efforts. From forest nurseries producing millions of seedlings to preserving forest genetic diversity, the Resiland Project is stabilizing sandy soils, reducing toxic dust, and strengthening Kazakhstan’s long-term agricultural and ecological resilience.
