Accelerating Robust, Scalable MRV for Climate Smart Rice: Webinar Recording

This recording features the inaugural webinar of the Measuring Matters: Sustainable Pathways for Next Generation Rice series, held on February 25, 2026, as part of the World Bank Group’s Scaling Next Generation Rice Impact Program.

The session explores how robust, science‑based measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) systems enable countries, jurisdictions, and projects to quantify emissions reductions from climate‑smart rice production and access both compliance and voluntary carbon markets. Drawing on insights from international experts and pilot MRV initiatives in South and Southeast Asia, the webinar highlights agricultural GHG accounting as the foundation for transparent, scalable MRV systems that can unlock climate finance and incentives for low‑emission rice.
