The World Bank is supporting South Africa’s first Program-for-Results to strengthen urban service delivery by improving municipal governance, financial management, and access to basic services in targeted cities. The results-based operation will disburse against verified outcomes and provide technical support to accelerate reforms, enhance capacity, and bolster climate-resilient urban infrastructure in partnership with national and local authorities.
