The Workshop on Urban Heat Management in the Global South, held at the United Nations Office at Nairobi on Tuesday, 28 October, 2025, reflected a growing interest in tackling the rising threat of extreme urban heat. The event marked an important collaboration between UN-Habitat, the World Bank, and UNEP, demonstrating how partnerships can accelerate progress on shared climate priorities. This workshop was a strong first step toward deeper institutional cooperation on urban heat resilience.
