The 2023 World Bank Group-IMF Annual Meetings will be held in Marrakech from October 9-15, marking 65 years since the World Bank began its robust partnership with the Kingdom of Morocco.

Over the years, Morocco has made strides in achieving its development goals. Extreme poverty in the country is now below two percent.

Morocco and the World Bank have partnered on landmark initiatives, including: Noor Solar, Africa’s largest solar plant; rehabilitation of the Fez Medina - the World Bank’s first cultural heritage program; the National Human Development Initiative; Morocco’s first green bond; its first private equity fund, and much more.
