00:03 We're leading as a World Bank,

00:04 the global platform.

00:05 And we're supported by our core partners.

00:07 We connect to 27

00:09 country level projects

00:11 which focus on 8 commodities,

00:13 and those commodities are very responsible

00:16 for the deforestation that's happened in the past.

00:18 So we can argue here what we're trying to do in the future is

00:21 to reduce the impact of these commodities and even use these commodities to drive

00:25 reafforestation.

00:26 So on halting deforestation,

00:28 sustainable agricultural production and food systems,

00:31 together with tackling the underlying drivers.

00:34 90% of the solution and this is precisely what Folor is working towards,

00:38 towards deforestation free

00:41 commodity value chains.

01:03 It's a broad program.

01:08 It's a $345 million

01:11 investment,

01:11 so it's the largest GEF funded integrated program.

01:15 So we're very proud

01:16 to have a leadership role in that.

01:18 The World Bank,

01:19 what people think of as a financing instrument,

01:21 but for me,

01:22 the World Bank is a knowledge bank.

01:23 We have a tremendous amount of information across many sectors,

01:27 and it's not just about the work we do at FOLO.

01:30 It's about the work we do at the bank.

01:31 Can we connect and bring that forward?

01:33 We've put forward a series of tools on

01:35 how to monitor and reduce deforestation.

01:37 Lots of ideas around technology,

01:39 connectivity,

01:41 you know,

01:41 how do we really connect these farmers to markets?

01:44 How do we improve all the systems around productivity,

01:47 and of course reduce food loss and waste.

01:49 All of these areas will eventually reduce deforestation,

01:53 reduce the need for more land,

01:55 and really try and consolidate agriculture

01:57 and make it a lot more viable system.

02:02 I think going forward in the future we've got some big questions to answer.

02:05 What is the European deforestation regulations that are coming forward,

02:09 because they're going to impact

02:10 on our countries,

02:12 our commodities that we work on.

02:14 All of those commodities have got to be compliant to new standards.

02:18 How do we introduce those standards so that

02:20 the markets remain open for these products?

02:30 We've launched

02:50 new tools,

02:50 initiatives urging people who look at these kinds of interviews and say

02:54 go to Folorw.org and see what we're doing.
