00:16 A very important highlight of my visit this time was to be able to

00:23 to Saroi village in Bakhm district,

00:26 where I was able to visit a school that the World Bank has supported the financing of

00:30 under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund.

00:34 And what's so special about this project

00:36 is that the community

00:38 of Saroy Village came together to decide what was the most important investment

00:43 that could be made in their village,

00:45 and they chose the school,

00:46 and this school is very modern.

00:49 It has

00:50 clean,

00:50 beautiful

00:51 classrooms.

00:52 It has digital connectivity and computers.

00:56 It has a wonderful library,

00:58 and it even has library books in electronic format.

01:02 The most heartwarming part of my visit was to be able to talk to teachers,

01:07 parents,

01:08 and of course the students,

01:09 and they're also very happy with this project because it provides for the future

01:14 of the children and it provides for a much better

01:16 environment for teachers to be able to do their jobs

01:19 and of course the parents have been involved

01:21 in selecting this very important investment for their

01:24 community as a parent and as a mother,

01:27 I must say education.

01:28 is one of the absolute most important investments we can make.

01:31 So it was very special for me to see this.

01:34 I also want to thank the little girl who gave me a painting

01:37 and a picture

01:39 of the village,

01:39 which I will take home with me and hang on my wall in my office

01:43 to remember this wonderful visit
