World Bank Country Director for China Martin Raiser Visited the Ningbo Municipal Solid Waste Minimization and Recycling Project

Solid waste is related to every household. Poor management of solid waste causes environmental pollution. Plastics in the solid waste that go in to the ocean cause marine pollution. The Ningbo Municipal Solid Waste Minimization and Recycling Project is the first World Bank-financed project to focus on waste separation at source in China. The project promotes waste separation and invest in waste collection and transfer facilities to improve waste management. World Bank Country Director for China Martin Raiser visited the project in Ningbo recently. Let us hear what he says.
