World Bank Africa Region: End Poverty Day

On October 17 2016, 9AM to 11:30AM ET, the World Bank is organizing a dialogue, ‘End Poverty Day 2016’, to explore the implications of the slowdown on growth, jobs, people, health, education and social advance and their impact on the standard of living of the people. Agriculture continues to be the mainstay of economies across Sub-Saharan Africa, and the dialogue will look at how improvements in public policies, backed by increased investments, can help to ignite growth, make more food and jobs available and help protect the environment.
