WASHINGTON, April 9, 2021—Today, World Bank Group President David Malpass met with Moroccan Minister of Economy, Finance, and Administration Reform Mohamed Benchaaboun. President Malpass confirmed with thanks that the World Bank Group looks forward to the 2022 Annual Meetings in Morocco.
President Malpass noted Morocco’s good leadership on COVID-19 response and climate issues. The President and Minister also discussed the reform initiatives launched by King Mohammed VI, with President Malpass reaffirming the Bank’s continued support for efforts toward a green, resilient, and inclusive recovery for Morocco.
