Washington, D.C., June 9, 2026 — The World Bank Group today announced its new Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for the Argentine Republic, covering the period 2026–2033, with the objective of supporting private sector-led growth, macro-fiscal stabilization, and sustainable job creation. At the heart of the CPF jobs agenda: creating more and better-paying employment opportunities, particularly through micro, small, and medium enterprises and Argentina’s growing digital and knowledge economy.

Spanning eight years, the CPF reflects the World Bank Group’s commitment to accompany Argentina as it advances a pivotal economic transformation. The new CPF is organized around three mutually reinforcing pillars:

  • Pillar 1 focuses on supporting policy and regulatory reforms to crowd in private investment.
  • Pillar 2 supports investments in people and infrastructure, including improved learning outcomes for 3.7 million students, expanded access to health and nutrition services for 9.5 million people, more than 1,900 megawatts of additional renewable energy capacity, and improved connectivity for 8.5 million transport users.
  • Pillar 3 aims to mobilize private investment at scale, with a target of mobilizing at least US$7.19 billion in private capital by 2030, with a particular focus on Argentina’s strategic sectors of agribusiness, mining, and energy.

The World Bank Group will deliver this framework through a coordinated “One WBG” approach, integrating the instruments and expertise of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Finance Corporation, and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency.
