WASHINGTON, DC, August 20, 2025 - The International Development Association (IDA, Aaa/AAA) today made its debut in Australian dollar, with a 5-year Sustainable Development Bond that raised AUD 1.75 billion. The bond matures on August 29, 2030.

The bond has an annual coupon of 4% and an issue price of 99.978%. It was priced at +45.95 basis points over the 2.5% Australian government bond due May 2030, offering investors an annual yield of 4.005%. The lead managers are ANZ, Nomura, RBC, and TD.

“IDA’s inaugural Australian dollar transaction allows us to expand IDA’s investor base by reaching new markets and meeting the demand of global investors. IDA supports development projects in IDA member countries to eradicate extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity on a livable planet. We are helping member countries create jobs, expand access to electricity, improve health services, strengthen safety nets, and build resilience,” said Jorge Familiar, Vice President and Treasurer, World Bank.
