It is with great emotion that we watched the terrifying images of the terrorist attack in Sousse, which affected so many innocent lives. On behalf of the entire World Bank Group and in my own name, I would like to extend our most sincere condolences to the people of Tunisia.
We are cognizant of the impact of this senseless act on one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Tunisia and on the country as a whole.
The World Bank pledges to strengthen its support for Tunisia in the wake of this tragedy and reaffirms its commitment to assist the country with its economic and political transition.
