Moldova: World Bank Hosts Capacity Building Workshops on the Procurement of Goods, Works, and Consulting Services in Bank-funded Operations

In the period November 22-23, 2010, the World Bank will hold capacity building workshops on the procurement of goods, works, and consulting services financed under World Bank loans and IDA credits for Government Officials and private sector companies.  Workshop speakers are the procurement specialists of the World Bank, including Regional Procurement Manager. The working language of the seminars will be English and simultaneous translation into Romanian will be available.

On November 22, 2010 the World Bank will offer a capacity building seminar for the benefit of representatives of the Government of Moldova who play an instrumental role in Bank-funded projects. The objective of this seminar is to strengthen the capacity to manage procurement under Bank-funded projects efficiently to ensure fiduciary compliance and timely project implementation.


Business outreach event for private sector

On November 23, 2010 the World Bank will host a Business outreach event for private sector (contractors, suppliers, consultants) which participated or are interested to participate in tenders organized under the Bank-funded projects.
Interested private companies and associations of private companies are invited to attend the event to discuss business opportunities and procurement in World Bank funded projects.
